Yalda and Naser Abdullahi!

1. Naser Abdullahi is prominant Iranian singer died at age of 36 in Tehran. He was known for southern Iranian style (Bandari) of singing and some nice work of mixture of Iranian and Spanish rythems! I attended his concert while I was in Iran and found him quite entertaining. One of the songs I heard for the first time and I liked was this:

Career Planning for Junior Scientists and Researchers!

In the days that I have tons of work and study to do, I have this tendency to become crazy and put myself under more stress and pressure than usual! So, having said that I felt there is a need for me to attend a so called “Career Planning for Junior Scientists and Researchers” workshop! Somebody should have told me: am I close to graduate? No, I would reply! So, what is the point of attending!? Yeh!
The workshop outcome: I didn’t learn much! become depressed, learned that Switzerland is Saudi Arabia for women! Now I am afraid talking to women so my conversation may be interpreted as not supportive and consider equalities!!
My first intention was to compare European attitude in career planning compare to North Americans, specifically Canadians since I have already attended in such a workshop in Canada. I have to admit there are many differences between these two nations! I truly got surprised for such a big disparity.
The storey I wish to write here happened in the second day of the workshop.
After an hour of presentation of the instructor about how women are underestimated and underrated in scientific field in Switzerland and Germany! They are not given fair chances and how they were not offered the jobs they deserve, we started a group workshop to identify what people would suggest us in light of our observation and skills we contain. The group was supposed to be conducted as following:
we were given an A3 paper, we would draw a happy face in the middle and think of any career we ever wished to do and write it down and connect them to our picture by lines. After that we were asked to write on two series of colored papers each of three about the three skills and values we feel them most important to us in any job. At behest of instructor we made group of three to conduct the workshop. One would volunteer in the group and explain what s/he has written on those pages. The two others would ask him/her questions and then the person whose turn is will turn back and listen to what the two others would suggest about the career path may be suitable for him/her.
I wrote the following jobs for myself: A comedian, a write who writes about fun and how to have fun in doing anything (I wished), a biomechanicst in corporate world, a instructor and researcher!!
I will not get to mine, though I wish to write about a girl who seemed in her late 20s. She was in our group. She, biology major with wondering face, with anxious eyes! She started to explain she have never had tired another job except what she was describing and currently has! She can’t see herself working in any cooperation and no other institution than where she knows plus she hates teaching. When I asked why? “I have had given lectures to some first and second year students and they were like: why should be learning this!!, so, I was always feeling they are there because their parents insist to be there. Don’t have a happy memory!” She explained. Add to that she was going to get married to a boyfriend who lives in Koeln, Germany and who is a teacher. So, on top of that she wished to have a child some time soon! Her intention to be in this workshop. How to juggle between career and family! She felt girls should truly get married before latest 29!
So, After careful listening to her when she turned her back to us. I give her my 2-cent!
What I am going to tell you may not be so pleasant but I want you to think about it! I said:
You have not so much of experience except what you have in field of your study and you don't seem very satisfy from those experiences. You have only had tired your chances in one field of study. You yet to know if there are any jobs are available for you in corporate world. Top to that that you have never tried any other job so you would know if this is what you really wish to do!
So, forget about you boyfriend, don’t get married. You still have to gain experience. Forget what you are told about marriage in latest of late 20s and have children, soon! First try to see what you like and what you want then decide if these are what you really want to do! These are relationships in my opinion where in a few years after marriage you will see major disagreement appears in them.
Consider that the instructor in the workshop had explained a few minutes before that that in Europe if a girl is 26 and older and still single, people would assume there is something wrong when her. Same thing for boys over 30 was told!

Some political commentary!

Photos courtesy of Z8un and Baradar Abtahi

1.Yesterday, in Iran was municipality, assembly of experts and some second round of parliamentary election. In Parliamentary and assembly of experts there were not what so ever a person who wishes to help things get better. But in municipality election the storey was completely different. Three major groups (Reformists, Old conservatives and reformed conservative belong to current Iranian President Dr. Ahamdi Nedjad) in Iran were on the scene for battle plus those independent candidates. The well described name that those close to Iranian President have chosen is: The good scent of services! Rayeheh khosh e khetmat! This was totally sounds funny motto name! Since their estabilishment they have done a horrible job for country and so called poor! The inflation is at highest level. The foreign policy is nowhere! so, the scent of stinky services are all over the Iran! I think it stinks and the scent is perceived by people any time soon!

2.Why do we have this tendency to ignore the work of previous group who has been in the power!? The Asian games are finished and Iran finished 6 in overall medal receipt. THe best ever record of Iran in Asian games!
should not we thank the others (managers, experts and bureaucrat) who took time and prepared these teams or individuals for the current Asian games! Rather than saying this was just work of today bureaucracy! Let’s be fair! if we want to judge people, that should be done in next Asian games!

3. Iran Promises to pay Hamas 250 million dollars!! I think many young Iranians are dieing of hunger plus many have no job and money to support themselves and their families! and now we pay Hamas 250 000 000!!! good for us!!!

Happiness

1. catch a cold and have to meet everyday and lots of assignment from this continuum mechanics! I am quite lost! may be I will be kicked from Phd program so I can do other venue in my life. people here telling me I should have studied Law!!

2. about 10 days ago I was drinking some hot sugger added tea right beside of my laptop! My hand tip the glass and it was all over my laptop!! the laptop was plugged in and I quickly unplugged it, fearing it will be exploded! So, then I turn it upside down and let it dry! make it long story short, the computer still works!!! but the keyboard I should punch the keys with lots of force!!!

3. Just watching a program about happiness on CNN. The commentator was interviewing a physchologist about happiness! He explained that throughout a day dose of happiness changes! for example, if you ask a family if they are happy to have a child it depends on when and what time of the day you are asking them! If it is during shpping or sleeping they may say not! but during familly gathering it is different!
when he was asked if money brings happiness! He replied: Money for a person who makes 5000 per year if changes to 50000 per year makes a big difference and brings happiness, but from 50000 to 300 000 they have done some studies and they showed it really does not make any difference!
So, I draw this conclusion it is true if you make average money it is up to you to try to make yourself happy! Be happy!

And the winner of the Liberal party leadership is...

1. I write because I just feel to write nothing more or less can be said or written on it! whether they worth publishing or not or they worth to be read!I don't quite care, personally! Just a note to myself! :-)

2. Finally, Liberal party's leadership in Canada has a elected person and that is nobody than Mr. Stéphane Dion! I truly wish him all the best. I recall him during his post of minister for intergovernmental affairs in Jean Chrétien government. His formal style with a black backpack can't not be forgotten. Hope he does a great job for future of Canada.

3. Last week I was invited to the Chris de Burgh concert! the reason I was invited was the fact that I have this tendency to tell stories! It was thought that I should like to attend the concert of a singer who is known as story teller and has a Album under that name! The concert was great and he did some of the special effects that Pink Floyd used to do! showing and synchronize his song with video on the big screen behind him. So, I enjoyed it quite well. He sang many old and new songs which were mostly narrative. The photos above are taken from there.

Eulogy!

Alireza Ab, a prominent Dr. wanna be in biomechanics, died last night from complications of losing his hope to find a soul mate and becoming a real Dr! He was soft-spoken, obsessive, and wanna be! Alireza never looked the part of a hopeless romantic. His logical analysis and story telling ability was expressed by some as obstacle to his love life (he was talking too much precisely to say), by other some a holy path to balance-hood and his sole advantage for being heard perhaps. But, in the final days of his life, he revealed an unknown side of his psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the Agatha Christie-like pursuit of his long reputed soul mate who he never found or may be was to be found but he didn’t conceive. This pursue also included the ever wanting understanding of life meaning and what can be done to be happy and whether working hard will prosper him to get a PhD degree (what else?!). Sadly, the protracted search ended late Saturday night in complete and utter failure. When he realized that he will never accomplish any of those on his agenda list! Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous all along Alireza secretly clung to the belief that life is merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Or rather, it is a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of his dear friend, Dr. wanna be Salman Chegini, who is admirer of his highness Dr. Haj A. Fergi, described Alireza as a changed man in the last days of his life!! "Things were clearer to him, he said: “I see dead people", Chegini noted. Ultimately Alireza concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as destiny. What is destiny a series of decisions we make that in many occasions make us to regret! May he rest in peace!

FIFA suspends Iran Football Federation

Finally FIFA suspended Iran from taking part in any international tournament. Believe or not I think this is great news!! you may wonder why!? I think becasue:

1. For the first time the international community showed that Sports should be seperated from politics!
2. If you don't ply by the international rules you are toast and out of reach!
3. If you want to be part of world community, just come to the field like any other player and learn how you can imporve your ability by the means avaliable to you!
4. Since Iranians could not take their raghiteous need to say Football is seperated from politics, FIFA did the job and I am profoundly like this: "Organisation of new elections under the supervision of FIFA and the AFC after the approval of the above-mentioned new IRIFF statutes."
5. I think this is a great finger to President AhamdiNedjad that you feel things can be run by your standard, you are wrong dude!

cleaning of our residence

1. Believe it or not one of my favorite works in home is cleaning our apartment specially, our washroom and bathroom! This Chinese apartment-mate of mine doesn't like to do cleaning of those doomed area of the residence, so, usually I take care of them. I have notice many people may not like to do so, but somehow I enjoy it because it gives me a great feeling after I see the the entire WC emits pleasurable scent and things are crystal clear and reflecting the light so vividly!:-) It makes me to seat in there or wash myself with more patience and relaxation! The next thing I enjoy to clean in a house is the Kitchen! I feel a pleasant feeling when walking in to the kitchen that has order and cleanness! and I always wish to have one of those large kitchen where the stove is in the middle of kitchen and there is large hood on top of it, all around it there is the cooking utensils!

Good Bye...!

No, I am not saying goodbye like many people! I am talking about James Blunt who has been singing since he has come back from Balkan war. I introduce him two years ago I think. browse his website and see listen to some of his work.
I was listening to one of his songs called goodbye my lover, I enjoy it, so wish to put up the lyrics:

Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what's mine by eternal right.
Took your soul out into the night.
It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I am a dreamer but when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.
I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow.

An incident in UCLA

1. I just find out about this incident. It is what has happened for an American-Iranian student in UCLA library.
Check it out for yourself and be the judge!
I think the best thing happened to internet is Youtube!

I would suggest to those in UCLA who would like to keep their university accountable for what they do, call chancellor office at UCLA and demand an investigation.

The tradeoff!

Many jobs that engineers are involved with are making intelligent tradeoffs between conflicting parameters. As one parameter is improved the other is worsen! As engineers, we are trained to quantify different tradeoffs, draw some kind of cost/benefit curve, make a rational choice based on our analysis!
One simple example is computer networking’s tradeoff between connectivity and security! This issue has been always discussed but I have yet to see the spark of an analytic justification for decisions made. It is easy to get perfect security, simply disconnect from any network. But while your costs-that is consequences of a successful security breach-have fallen to zero, so have your benefits! The value of a network increases with number of connected users. The more people and computers are connected, the greater will be the information acquired, the commerce attained and so forth. But as your connectivity increases your vulnerability to bad viruses of the network and those posing as friends! How do we make the networking tradeoff? In my mind, by separating those variables on a x-y cost/benefit curve. Plotted along x-axis is the cost associated with the risk of opening the network, while the y-axis measures the benefits of increasing connectivity. The cost in a business environment might be the probable loss of sales, increased liability, or momentary losses due to expected computer intrusion. The value of connectivity could be better operational efficiency more knowledge and satisfied staff!

Having explained all the above, I have to come to the conclusion that more or less on every corner of our life we are facing to establish some kind of cost/benefit analysis. Imagine the medication that you are taking! The side effect vs the health you gain! The years you spend study to become a professional in cost of your productive years which are getting by!
So, what makes me wonder is how Iranian president Dr. Ahamdi Nejad cost/benefit analysis is intact!
For population increase! I wish not to do any further cost/benefit analysis since we have seen once its effect! For nuclear energy production. I can visualize the plot that the cost or prices that Iranian people are paying for possessing nuclear energy and other the y-axis we have the benefits that Iranians are receiving from such technology investment. The prices and cost that are associated with this decision can be expanded as economy sanction from countries around especially the big industrial ones, lack of foreign investment for a country which has to create jobs for its people on 1.5 million bases jobs per year (currently they are creating 100 thousands of that that translates 10% of what is needed according to Iranian media!) and of course isolating Iranians from outside world and may be a war that is destroying any rational thinking! Not to mention, the probable cost of environment waste and human life danger that might be exposed to because of possible radiation emission. The gains of this project is also technologically we may be accepted as a country which know-how to enrich uranium, investment on energy for future generation! And probable stability of the regime and perhaps the country! However, the human rights issues will be also be jeopardized!
So, I truly wonder if in many occasion I made a thorough cost/benefit analysis and made a proper decision!

Occupatinal health and safety!

Back in 2003 and 2004 when I was in Iran, during my employment in one of the factories there, I had to fight literally a lot with upper management to provide informational sessions for floor workers about the materials they were exposed to or the safety issues. I think one of the major reasons I got into disagreement with that head of company and management team was my idea of making information available to all to protect the workers rather than treating them as nothing ordinary floor workers!
I just came across this report from BBC Persian which reports the rate of death due to accidents at occupations are increasing in Iran. The report is here in Farsi. I cut and paste it here for those who can not see!

Being proud!

So, after not believing in myself in many years!, about a few minutes ago I got this tap on shoulders from my boss!!

The conversation was about number of qualified people from other countries who wish study in advanced science in west. Then my boss told others in the room, there were about 70 qualified people who applied for my position and out of them 20 people were Swiss! but they picked the best one (showing me!!!) (i.e. I think this coming week I will disappoint him since I am not ready for my presentations next week!!! good bye fame!:-))

The department people perception before I come here is quite interesting, according to them I am easy to talk to, they told me they were afraid about many things before I arrive! for example, how to situate my seat in the office! Since I am from a Muslim country what happens if they back where I sit is towards Makkah or opposite of it! They were afraid if I wish to pray 5 times a day! How that would be possible in the room!
even afew said they wish not to sit in the same room with me! according themseleves (now one of them, he offers me to go along with him to the concert!!)
Now they have realized I am not religious and open to any conversion, their perception of Iranian people has changed! many of them were saying we felt that Iran should have been bombed before knowing you! but now we think otherwise!
I wonder how much media has effect on how people judge about certain group of people!
So, I am proud (if not doing anything else this far) have changed perception of people towards Iran and Iranians. I am proud of myself as a Iranian-Canadian to do so. I think it worth mentioning that I am in debt to Canada and Canadians for exposing me to different culture and giving me how to think free!

Until about one hour ago I was at work, sometimes I feel it is good that I am not married or there is noone waiting for me at home, otherwise she would have got really pissed off at me since I work quite many extra hours!

2. Congratualtion to Ms. Ebadi who has received French medal of honor.

Hostage taking of American embassy about 28 years ago what made Iran falling!!!

Certain mysteries about our government baffle me! We have realized that radicalism is not a way to go. The walked path is gone and there are still people who believe that this path is path to triumph or success or may be amusment!!
Yesterday was the anniversary of 28 years after hostage taking of American embassy in Iran. What makes me wonder there are still people who go on the street and shout against a country or two! see the photos.
I was a little child when there was hostage taking, so I can't recall much. but those who started this hostage taking were the one who promoted the radicalism and establish lack of freedom. An example is in a house whose father or mother swears at each other we shouldn't expect that the children sit back and not getting vicious!

What is not acceptable for me is that those students who were thinkers and technically leader of that era 28 years ago simply must have known that invading an embassy of any country tranlates to waging war against that country! This is and was against any international laws! Of course, this has created 28 years of American embargo and many other problems that Iranians are still experiencing!

President Ahmadi Nedjad who says UN and International Court of Laheh are worthless of respecting and are in hands of Imperlisim, should be reminded that Iran via International Court of Laheh received its Oil industry independency in 1953! So, Wherever you are and whatever you do respect the international laws!
Hope the new generation realizes that the path must be base on respect and dialogue!

In depth of some recent news!

These days I am busy (who is not!) with courses, research and my father stay who just left me. So, I couldn’t write much though I have been following the news as much as I could! Here it goes:

1. Our kind and Merciful President has encourage the women to bring in as many as children they wish! No matter who says what! Just give birth, this is your national, Islamic and intercontinental duty! Just do it! You see Nike didn’t put up this just do it commercial for nothing!!

2. Watching Ahmadi Nejad, The leader of IR who I won’t name and George W. Bush speeches quite closely I realized they have a lot in common! Not only they can’t not say some related theme, though they simply have this term in their speeches called “enemy”! They have created in their minds a hypothetical enemy that is waiting and manipulating us! If we sit back, everything will collapse! The enemy is out there, we have to be ready to fight them! Anybody talked abut acute schizophrenia, seeing things, hearing things!!)

3. talking about schizophrenia, and masochism! Just recently Hazate Aytoolah
Makarem Shirazi Damat Barakati, allowed that body punishment is necessary for a women who doesn't listen to their partners! Read it here for yourself in his website!
You know I like this part the most: "It is remarkable that as per psychologists, there is a state of masochism in some women which is sometimes intensified, and appears as a mental crisis. In such critical and exceptional cases, mild punishment is effective in their mental relief."

4. Talking about strange people it worth noting that rather than making enemies in our mind may be we can make friends and jobs! Daniel Barenboim and Edward Said an Israeli and Palestinian have started a fundation that are making a bridge among the young Israeli and Palestinian muscians. Read the rest on the above link!

I'd better go think of devestating effects of global warming on economy (reported by Sir Nichlas Stern and depletion of Fishes from Oceans, until next time!

New wave of Iranian Music!

I have been knowing this group for past 1.5 years but never get a chance to introduce them here. The group is Abjeez. They are two Iranian born sisters who are living in the Sweden! I think their work worth listening to. Their work is quite distingushiable from LA based singers! Their video Khasteh gari (suitor-ship!) is quite interesting to watch!
BBC Persian has reported some underground Iranian rap and rock groups are currently performing in Nielderland. I am quite happy about the new wave of music in the Iranian music compare to avaliable main stream music from LA and Iran!

Life a juggling experience!

Throughout my life I learned that a single processor single-input-single-output system can not be of any use to our ordinary life. We have to be a parallel processing human with muliti-input-multi-output multiplexers which can do many things at one instances!
Currently, my life has got to juggling mode! I have my father over here and have to provide services for him. University courses have started and I have to do my own research I am supposed to do and my own works! I tend to enjoy these works quite a lot. These ongoing activities keeps me alive and I think provides me with a better management skill in my own life, something that I am desperately lacking and have not learned very well in Iran.
Today, I attended a nonlinear continuum mechanics who is thought by a professor from Berkley educated at MIT! Very good lecturer but I suppose it requires lots of time studying for it.
Something will never change, I spend times talking to my father whenever I get a chance and I realize how his brain has set for certain things and isn’t changeable what so ever! Our conversation usually ends to his sentences with the following:” I have done what I knew to do, you do it as you wish”. When I say will you understand my way and will you let me do it! He says he knows my way is not the right way, but he says that with question mark in his head it seems, I can do as I wish, he just sits back and watches! Then he starts to tell me how many mistakes, as he thinks there are, I have made. I have to tell he is a lovely father figure, who has strange way of thinking! many qualities that my fathers has are great but I think I have to live with the fact that he can never in his wildest dream see me as someone does things better than him, (although he verbally admits) even if people tell him so! Having said that I think we all have to respect our parents and live with the fact of our life!

Up to the darkness and fogginess!

Certain mysteries in life baffle me, things that people take for granted, yet in closer inspection seem inexplicable-like why rain doesn't come down my chimney! One is how we live in denial along in our life and despite what people tell us we tend to ignore or deny!
I just recently read that Darioush, the famous Iranian singer, had an interview after sobering from drug addiction, telling the interviewer that 60 millions were knowing that he was addicted, however, he himself didn't know that he is addicted!
throughout our life many people criticize us or complain about our habits! I always would like to know how we respond to those! with open arm or reluctance or rejection!?
I, myself tend to complain a lot! why I do that because I think there is always a room to improve! I believe as long as there is hope, we should step up to the better hills! reach for the sky! as long as knowing the sky is the limit!
one thing to add is a certain amount of sublimation is advisable, but when that sublimation of itself becomes a burden of the flesh and spirit, it is the time to move on!
i will try to go to the detail when I have time and more thoughts!:)

Time of Frustration…

Through out my life since I left Iran around 19 years of age I have trained myself to abstinence and mortify myself of what my heart and conscious tells me to do! simply by staying on the course and hoping to end up comforting zone! don't know may be I am right may be wrong! by I am not looking for any conflict! note to myself!
...
Today, it was frustration day, just nothing works, after a presentation, I tried to do a simulation of one of the group leaders who is going to a conference, and no luck, it didn’t work. The work of mine is stuck and I was suggested to do things I have no idea how to do! Quite frustrated! Life has high and low points and now I am at low points! very similar to the water which goes around rocks up and down!!

Taking a hike to the Fryberg

Arzam be hozare anvareton keh: I went hiking this Sunday with my coadvisor. My co-advisor is a 50 years of age guy who is quite active. A skillful skier, who used to be appearetly in Swiss acrobatic Ski team. Anyhow, on Friday if I wish to join him and his wife with some Friends (which turn to be the sister of his wife and her husband) for a hike. I went along and these are some photos I took.
interesting, I could not see any person between 18 to 30. All people were over 40 or little childern! I think those middle ages and young people have better things to do than take a hike!!:)

1. Not having time and lust to write about something is a pain!:)

anyhow Once again I am cutting and pasting Molla Hassani work here, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Something that we should talk about...

1. After the fight with sever stinky smell of Chinese food and considering all people going abroad are crazy or contagious with HIV , let's get to real news that is Anousheh Ansari childhood dream to go to space has been fulfilled, today.
Attention all women in Iran, you can do it! anything you wish! I am telling you!
you can just do it!
She will carry both Iranian and American flag on her arms. I saw her interviewed by CNN today. It was quite interesting she has been in US since she has been about 16 years of age (considering she is 40), she still has quite Persian accent when talking English!:) but hey who am I to say anything! she is millionar:))
Go, Ansari go!

2. Just a ordinary joke for all I heard couple of days ago:

A guy sees a very beautiful woman in a party, He walks towards her and tells her with lots of passion:"Do you believe in love at the first sight?".
The woman replies:" No!!"
So, I will come back later, says the guy!!!:D

why this scent?!

1. I have a sensitive nose! On many occasions I smell things that someone else can hardly smell! And this is a major problem!
Currently, I live with a Chinese guy first generation. About 2 days ago I realized what is the smell that whenever I walk in to the apartment I smell it so strongly. Ok, let me start from beginning!

There are 3 Chinese (1 women, 2 guys) have come to our institute right from China to do some testing and establish standards on particular steel cables for the bridge construction. So, my apartment-mate apparently get to know them, and now for the past two weeks they keep coming to our place at nights because according to them: “they don’t like to eat western food!” and they cook and eat at our place!
Let’s go back to the topic that is the scent. I used to walk in and smell the very strong aroma of feet mixed with vegetables! Finally, I realized what is that! Two days ago I came back and saw they are cooking. I should get to the fact what and how they cook!

Chinese have totally different culture from us! They cook everything with hot spices and chili, meat and vegetables all should be fried, Marjorly. Then, these are put in different plates and a small cup is filled with full soup (as they call it)in front of every person is the start of the dinner of the Chinese. After the soup is finished they fill the bowel with the rice and eat together from those plates and then little from the rice in front of them!
and have I mentioned their culture is that men have to eat the food with open mouth and make noise, burp a few times. on the contrary, women must eat very very quiet and her voice should not be heard or even sensed!

I want to talk about foot aroma that is propagated in our apartment! I realized this smell is initiates from the soup! The soup is made of plain water plus some ginger and Chinese noodle plus some meat. The major smell is from the pork meat! In fact, they boil the water and add pieces of pork in the boiling water without adding any spices! This food has very strong smell and it last for quite sometimes! So, now imagine that…

2. In the train I sometimes get so annoyed that I have to change my seat! I am not getting why men and also many women do not use perfume and some aroma to make their scent pleasant. Perspiration is something we shall wash with soup and water and please use cologne and perfume so, not to bother anyone else just because of your scent or sharp scent.

some news...

1. Have a look at this link. I hope American never start a war against Iran. Becasue things may not look any good.

2. This is from
Molla Hassani weblog. Since I know many in Iran cannot see it!
So, cut and paste it here!

Freddie Mercury and in our defense!

These days is the Freddie Mercurry passed away date. He was a Parsi or Zorastian Iranian who was from Parents from India who grow up in England. He died of HIV in 1992 if I am not mistaken. His music is still with us after all these days, like We are the Champions and etc. I came across this one his which is called in My defense. just writing in defense of many people taken or judged wrongly!

In my defence what is there to say
All the mistakes we made must be faced today
It's not easy now knowing where to start
While the world we love tears itself apart

I'm just a singer with a song
How can I try to right the wrong
For just a singer with a melody
I'm caught in between, with a fading dream

In my defence what is there to say
We destroy the love, it's our way
We never listen enough, never face the truth
Then like a passing song, love is here and then it's gone

I'm just a singer with a song
How can I try to right the wrong
For just a singer with a melody
I'm caught in between, with a fading dream

I'm just a singer with a song
How can I try to right the wrong
I'm just a singer with a melody
I'm caught in between, with a fading dream
Caught in between, with a fading dream
Caught in between, with a fading dream

Oh what on earth, oh what on earth
How do I try, do we live or die
Oh help me God, please help me

Their country; our country, summer recipe and alot more!…

1. Sitting inside the S-Bahn (a train commuting between two close cities) going to my home, there were 4 young boys and girls sitting and talking and drinking can beers. The next stop they get off the train. Soon after they left, the controller comes in and starts to check the tickets. As soon as he gets to the seats that those guys were sitting, he started to collect the remaining cans left by them and also collect the news paper left around me and other seats. Then, dump them inside the closest garbage bin. This may not limited to the collector, I have seen children, young, and old do the same. If someone leaves anything on the ground they tend to throw them out.
I recall when I was quite young, around 8 years of age, we were going to North of Iran for some holiday. I was sitting with my uncle (Daei) at the back seat. He started to peel off an orange and then to my surprise dump them out of the car window!!! I started to cry and getting upset. I went as far as I wanted to go back home! When I think almost none of people in the car were as upset as I was.
At that time I started to develop this question, would we do the same thing when we are in proximity of our home? What is our country? Isn’t that we should consider ouw own country our real home? Aren’t we supposed to keep it clean and pleasant for ourselves and generations to come?
Of course, dumping garbage in any area has its own reasons.
1. may be there is no garbage bin around.
2. No space to keep them.
3. I think our government has done a poor job advertising culture of garbage collecting.
4. Today, I was reading in the news that sewer connections of Tehran will be ready in 25 years. The head of Haydro and sewer organization has indicated the underground sewer connections will be implemented in next 25 years!! It is quite interesting while I was in Canada during Mr. Karbaschi tenant, Iran received about couple of hundred million from World Monitory Found (WMF) to implement this project. However, after certain years nothing done for the project, the money was lost and WMF said this time they will not provide Iran with the money, though with progress report against money!
I wonder a government which does not feels Iran is its own home, how would they respond about this nuclear energy scenario?

In Switzerland many ministers big bosses have this tendency to take train and bike to work. On their way, if something doesn’t work they try to investigate and fix it! Compare this to many countries around the world where the head of governments sitting in their protected cars and not seeing anyone!

2. Regimes which are not into democracy usually have to create a virtual enemy and have everyone’s attention to that, so whomever says anything against the status quo is treated as a traitor.
Having said that as I have been dealing with this imperialism regime of cold virus. It all started with a simple soar throat. My throat was complaining. I removed anything inside my throat complaining!! I will take your attention to the fact that this imperialism is quite against me living a prosper life without running nose and soar throat! This filthy virus wishes to stop me from my very own right to go out and have fun! Down with cold virus and bacteria. I will take economic and food embargo so, they have nothing to eat and die for ever! Enshalah, Nasro menalah va fah on gharib!!

A summer recipe
3. For those in warm climate I wish to recommend the following recipe so, you can enjoy a life without sanction and have these fruits mixed and swallow!
Have you heard the expression Cool as a cucumber (Khiaar)? This is feeling we all relish in the hot, maybe humid days of summer. Do you know what keeps a cucumber so cool? Water. About 95 percent water, in fact. The interior temperature of a cucumber can remain 20 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the outside skin from the cooling effect of the water in the cells.
So having said that let’s try the new recipe:
Pineapple, red pepper and cucumber salad:
1/3 cup (75ml) granulated suger
½ cup (125) cider vinegar
1 cucumber
1.5 cups (375ml) chopped peeled fresh pineapple (can is also possible, too)
1 sweet red paper, cut in thin strips salt
¼ (1ml) hot paper sauce
¼ (aml) freshly ground pepper
6 cups (1.5 L) baby spinach (Sfenaj) leaves or normal lettuce (KAhoo)
25 ml chapped fresh basil (Reyhoon khodemoon)
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, gently heat suger and vinegar, stirring until dissolved. Increase heat to medium and bring to gentle boil. Cook until liquid turns a deep caramel color. Remove from heat and let cool just until bubbles subside.
Meanwhile, cut cucumber in half lengthwise. Cut crosswise into thin slices. Place in a heatproof bowel with pineapple, red pepper, ½ tea spoon salt, hot pepper sauce and pepper. Pour sugar mixture into bowel and toss gently to coat, the caramel will harden but will melt again. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until caramel is melted or for up to 8 hours. Season with more salt to taste.
Divide spinach or lettuce leaves among chilled salad plates. With a slotted spoon, place cucumber mixture on top. Drizzle salads with some of the dressing left in bowel. Sprinkle with basil.
Eat this recipe with your loved ones:-)

there must be a way…

I am these days less motivated! Don’t know why. May be because there has been more or less raining for past 4 weeks! As they say the weather is depressing! May be …
Yesterday, in one of the meeting I was seating listening for almost 3 hours to our department chief, and other people of our group, I started to think… what is our job as professionals? I came with this answer: simply conveying ideas, classify and categorize them and represent them to people. To add the impact of work on the society in whole.
While in Germany for the conference I noticed how boring it is to sit in a lecture hall the entire day and listen to different presenters. I discuss that with my colleagues, I am told if the topic is interesting and I am interested (as an audience) I will listen to it! Otherwise you would lose the interest!
But I don’t think that was the case, in many cases I was getting bored simply by listening to these soulless and unenthusiastic presenters although I was so interested to the topic.
I started to think there must be a way to make a presentation more interactive and nicer to your audience! Something that people can relate and get interested in. Not just talking for 15 minutes, like it is responsibility that must be done and go home!
I started to think what makes my job more interesting? What is my aim? How can I relate to my audience? I couldn’t find answer to my last question. What can be done to put yourself to some else’s shoes.
There must be a way, to get people interest and not letting them fall in sleep after 5 minutes presenting. In an ordinary conversation what happens if we get interested or lose interest.
One could be attraction, if the person who is presenting, is good looking and has nice dress may has an impact. But that may be 20% to us professionals. But what are remaining 80%?
How can we say what we do is good for you? Through marketing guys? Look for problems and telling them how we solve them! In research that is usually good but can not be possible in may places.
Still trying to understand the fact of what makes us going and get enthusiastic. If you know write me!
I wish to hear your comment, if any!

Lost in translation...

1. HUMMM, AOOO, I am asking my Chinese apartment-mate. what doesn these sounds you are making of yourself mean?! why when I say Helllo, you say HUUUUMMM, OHHHsh!?
him: hummma means hello in Chinese! and AOOOA means yes!
thanks for clirifying! as they say in Chinese thank you=SHEE SHEE!!

2. I feel depressed when I think I have no internet at home and doesn't seem I will get one any time soon!

3. Listing to Mike Wallace interview with Mr. Ahmadi Nedajad I realized how important it is to tranlate and convey your meaning properly.
If you get a chance please read the text and then listen to the video on the right hand side.
you will hear what President Ahamdinedjad has said, and what the translator (with huge Iranian accent) has translated! The obvious point is the "make up of President Bush admistration..." I think it is last page of the interview. compare and you will amazed!

you can also read the entire interview in Persian for exact comparision.here in Persian! I hope link works!

Some news from me and funny story of mine!

1. Since Monday I am here in Bern conducting in vivo motion analysis on spine. THe first day we arrived, I was told one of the the two sets of camera is not working! and we can only use one set! My own supervisor said this process may take 4 weeks! unbelievable, these guys are super slow! There is this research/technician assitant who suppose to help, he gets sometimes on nerve, with this French/swiss accent repeating: Forget it, impossible, too compicated, I mean, no way!!! saying it 20 times! getting red on the face! The first day he was going nuts I had to send him out to work on something else!!! No very pleasant experience! I should stay here at least until Friday, if not longer!

2. Some of you what I do and what was my conferece paper about. I do computer modeling of spine in whole at dynamic motion. purpose is to have a quick and ready-to-test facility to test spine implants.

3. why I started to write about I get worry about Iran and Iranian: I was reading a paper about spine and realizing a cycling and continues motion will hurt your discs and spine (vertebrae). So, I recalled so many Paykan and other cars in Iran which are so un-standard and create lower back pain! what are statistics of that! none, zero! there are days I feel, I should go back in Iran and start a orthopaedic facility to help people. Then, I remember how I was treated, it makes me to think twice!

4. Before I get to Bern, on Friday morning the following event took place with my chinese apartment-mate:

Time: 6:55 am
Location: Mr. Doug and Alireza's apartment (Doung: 40 years of age, married and has a doughter of 10, his wife and doughter in China, though)

Ring ring ring, the phone keeps ringing for 2 mintues! I try to ignore it. While I am sleeping or almost sleeping! The second and third time. Finally, I decide to pick up the phone.

Me: Hello!
Person on the other side: Aouaaa
Me: pardon me?!
POS: chin chong doung?!
Me: sorry, I can't understand Chinese!
POS: chin me talk Mr. Doung?
Me: Do you want to talk to Mr. Doung?
POS: ya, chayouaaa
Me: He is asleep!
POS: I cho have to talk to him. I talk him!!!
Me: sorry but I suppose he is sleeping and I wish not to wake him up!!
POS: ching chang dong, me must talk to him…
Me: sorry, may I take a message?!
POS: tell Mr. Doung, Ms. Sohn is calling!!!
Me: ok, I will. Are you calling from China?
POS: Me Chinese!
Me: I know but are you in Switzerland or China?
POS: I Switzerland!
And she hangs up!
...
I finish with my early routine of preparation to go to work.
Mr. Doung opens his door and comes out!
Me: good morning
DOung: ya ya morning
Me: did you hear the ring around 7:00 am?!
Doung: no n n n (with Chinese accent)
Me: somebody wanted to talk to you, her name was Ms. Sohn!
Doung: I don't chao know anybody with that name!!
2 minutes passes:
Doung: oh, I may be know, she is old lady! …
Ching doung dang and some none senses, my wife she found a job. Very old lady!!
Doung: Did you tell her that I am asleep?! or did you tell him I am not at home!!! (with anxiety in his voice and face!)
Me: I told him you are sleeping in your room!
Doung: sigh of relaxation! Ok, that is good, I know her, thanks!!!!

evening comes and I comeback home from work. My chinese apartment-mate sees me:

Doung: oh oh, do you know the women called?!
Me: no, what should I know about her!!
Doung: I will go to her house tomorrow, ahooa, yo ya!
me: good for you!
doung: sigh for a few seconds! oh, may be I stay there, over night...!
me: ok, I don't want to know more....thanks...

I worry for Iran and Iranians...

I am worrying for Iran! For Iran coming under attack for nothing!

I am worry for Iranian people for those teenagers who get simply executed for having a sex before mar-riage.

I am worry for those who die in the prisons of Iran for thinking and promoting thinking.

I am worry for such huge non-standard cars which are causing paralization of those who getting on them, by exceeding vibration; those cars which are assembled in Iran and sold on price of blood to the ordinary people.

I am worrying for increasing level of pollution in Tehran and other big cities of Iran, for which everyday thou-sands die of taxication or related syndromes because of ignorance of officials.

I am worry because Price of Oil is at the highest level and still there are millions of Iranians under poverity line or have to work 3 shifts to ends meet.

I am worry for so many monuments part of ancient heritage left from our ancestors and today no one have time to preserve them.

I am worry for every young person in Iran, who are thirsty for learning and developing, but they get no development, no opportunity.

I am worry for those women who wish to live free of any veil what so ever but forcefully have been veiled on!

I am worry for those human rights advocates whose voices are silent.

All and all, these things brings me to tears and makes me to profoundly worry....

After the conference

The title of this blog seems like after the shock!
...
I am back in one piece and trying to organize myself to further continue of my work.

The presentation was quite good considering I was presenting in front of full audience (about 80 people) and there were even people standing in the corridor. The door was also kept open during my presentation, while people were standing by door! Almost most of the big names in area of Spine biomechanics (Shirazi Adl, Pearcy, Wilke, Rohmann, Bergmann, Wolf, etc.) were in the room!
The chair of the session was Prof. Pearcy who I thought has already passed away!! Funny enough, after the session I asked him, are the famous Prof. Pearcy who has so many publication in regard of kinematics of Spine? He was quite humble to say; yes, but people are nice enough to consider me one of the pioneers!! I have not done so much.
I asked about one about the only missing person from the Spine research gathering, Prof. Panjabi. He said apparently he is retired and I am also semi-retired! According to him, he was only doing some managing in regard of research groups.

I tried to get close to Prof. Shirazi Adl who works in Montreal, Canada. My god, why we, Iranians, become so snobby when we get to a well-known position?! No chance talking to him, he sounded too stiff for my taste!
all and all it was quite great experience. There were about 2800 people in this conference. I have not ever attended any conference with such a huge number of participants.

Now, I am back, I have tons of work. For a day I attended a workshop. Now, I have to get ready to do some in vivo testing.
...
This student of mine who is from US really sometimes pisses me off. Becasue he acts like I have to guide him on every single moment and occasion, otherwise he gets lost! I have much more regards for our own students which I think show higher initiation and enthusiasm.

As soon as I get chance I put up some of the photos.
I still don't have internet at home, so bear with me:D

2. This photo was taken at the receiption of the first day of conferece.
1. One day my boss told me that let's go to new Bayern Muenchen Stadium called Allianz arena. So, there was a friendly game between FCB munchen and Schalke 04.
and the winner was FC Bayern.

greetings from Germanz, Muenchen

Gruss Gott( that is how in Bazern thez saz hello)
I finally arrived in Muenchen about 2 hours ago. The trip was quite comfortable since I was in first class, thanks to where I wirk. If you see some strange characters, I apologize since this keyboard is German!
what gets you attention in downtow of muenchen is number of women with veil. It seems there are lots of Arab here. Another things gets your attention is the way Germans are Americanised! There is only one place which sales famous Brat wurst of Germany, everywhere else, there are Burgekings, McDonalas, Pizza Hut, Hotdog, burgers American Style! I have taken already couple of photos, wich I found interesting, I will post them, as soon as I get a chance.
I will go tomorrow for registeration of the conferece.
while in the train, and trying to practice my presenttion my powerpoint software crashed!! I think this is quite amazing! In Persian we have this expression, The good year can be seen from its good spring! So, my goos spring has not started that well, hopfully the rest will be well.

Democracy Vodoo flying to nowhere

I have 10 mintues until I present my work in our department. So, I decided to say a leap of faith and write quickly something.

1. US with backing up Isreal in this stupid in Southern Lebenon is getting rid of democracy! They go for a meeting in Rome and what is outcome of that?! Nothing, Zero no seize fire keep killing each other! We enjoy it! until a stable solution is on hand! what could that be!

I make two important conclusions:

1.1. American government and other government in the world don't care about us! So, anything like this may happen for Iran. So, Iranian regime if want to save Iran (which I am not sure if they wish!) must be acting more Sensuous!

1.2. I am not sure many recall this, but when I was younger in my school years if two guys were fighting, people'd gather and look at them and made noise but refrain from stopping them from fighting! So, after they beat hell out of each other, if they are still alive, they may become good friends!!!!

2. These days I have working long hours for my work. I listen to old song before the Iranian revolution from Maziar, Moein and otheres! what I cannot get how at the beginning of the Iran revolution they banned playing music and said this is not allowed in Islamic Iran! Music goes to very basic needs of human. When I listen to musics I can work faster, slower, change my mood!!
I have hard time to understand how Iranian people were thinking at those days! Brainwashted!!

Sitting at my Keyboard and ...

Sunday, afternoon sitting at my [computer] keyboard and working! I recalled this song by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder:

Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, Oh lord, why don't we

We all know that people are the same where ever you go
There is good and bad in everyone
Learn to live, we learn to give each other
What we need to survive, together alive

Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, Oh lord, why don't we

Ebony, Ivory living in perfect harmony
Ebony, Ivory, Ooh

We all know that people are the same where ever you go
There is good and bad in everyone
We learn to live, when we learn to give each other
What we need to survive together alive

Ebony and Ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, Oh lord, why don't we

Side by side on my piano keyboard, Oh lord, why don't we

Ebony, Ivory living in perfect harmony

wished everyone lived in Perfect harmony, may be would have been nice to put all political leaders of the world in a boxing ring and give them a boxing glove, so they can settle their own differences without getting involved their own people!
that is of course a wish....

Addiction to writing and reporting!

I am again at work on sunday noon working! and for a few minutes, started to read the latest work of Mollad Hassani in Canada.
Since I know many can not see it in Iran, I cut and paste it here! enjoy:

You also can donate money to me, by clicking on the ads beside this page!:D good bless you here and anywhere:D!!!

The shop producing words is closed for the time being!

For the past few weeks I have been working on my conferece paper and presentation.
not that I have got anywhere! somebody should have told me, babam jan madaret khob pedaret khob, if your supervisor doesn't want you to publish what is your own rush!!!!
However, I submitted the abstract and now I am bonded to to get the results I promised!
...
on the other hand, here is about 34 degrees C and humid. Considering we have no air condition in our room and the building! This environmental consciousness of Swiss dudes has been killing me:))
my computer software is now running that is why I got sometimes to do this writing.
For the time being this "shope of word producing is closing down" [at least until first week of August], hopefully one day I will back and write interesting stories for myself and everyone who are interested to read and get amused!

Ezat ziad, farewell wish me luck, I am going to this largest international conferece of Biomechanics, which is held every 4 years. It is in Germany. If anyone is coming, don't be shy, let me know!:-)

Living with Chinese and the old guy face!!

1. As Kimia said once Chinese have this habit of eating their food with open mouth! And it is quite uncomfortable noise! Having said that, one of the most strangest thing I ever encountered happened on the weekend!

2. I asked the guy if he has a vacuum to clean the apartment. He showed me the vacuum. I started the vacuum and noticed the suction is quite weak. So, I started to investigate the vacuum. The first thing it was to open the area where the garbage is collect! Oh MY Force! I opened it up and I saw the entire vacuum is fill with dust collected right in the area where vacuum package usually goes! I asked what is this Mr. Dang (he has same name little different, to protect his identity:). He said when my friend gave me this vacuum he told me to buy a pack. However, I later forgot what he told me to buy!!!!!!

3. Yesterday, I was in the bus going to watch the Swiss game against Ukraine! As usual I was joking and telling stories to friends who were with me going to watch! I can’t recall what story I was telling, but all of the sudden this old guy came to me and said, you are wonderful story teller and you are making everyone to laugh!!!! You seems like a great guy! I suppose you are Spanish! Aren’t you?? Then I said sorry to disappoint you, nope I am Iranian! He said what, where? I said Iran, Iranian! Ahmadi Nedjad!!!! Oh, you should have seen his face!! For next 20 minutes my friends and I were laughing to the face of the old guy and how he reacted when I said I am an Iranian!! So, much of publicity for Iranians since Ahmadi nedajd is here!! I think he was expecting that an Iranian cannot laugh, may be has a horn on his head! I told that to my friends! Surprisingly, since I am relax and joke about many things they told me before they meet me, they thought, Iran and Iraq are the same! And it is great to invade Iran because Iranian will destroy the world with nuclear missiles!!!

4. This whole thing is written in 5 min. I still don't have internet at home. So, excuse my bad grammar and writtings!

5. These are headline of Iranian Newspapers for today according to BBC presian service:

Not very successful days in my opinion!

1. I just recently moved to a new accommodation. I am now apartment-mate with a Chinese guy who English is so horrible that I have to say thing 20 time sometimes! Living with a Chinese has open up my eyes more than ever. How communication among people I important! How culturally we are different from Chinese! And how we admire decoration and beauty and on the contrary Chinese don’t care and live simple and no sorry to say tasteless decoration! Another thing is what they eat is quite smelly! I think I like Chinese food, however just for a couple of times in months, not morning, evening and everyday!

1.1. This Chinese guy has been living in Switzerland for past one year. He had come here with his wife and child. About 3 months ago, the wife says since she can not get a job here, she is going back to China!

2. In the evening because of sorry again stupidity of this Chinese I am not having internet for the time being and may be for future! Last night it took him 3 hours to write a Chinese e-mail to his wife!! Reason because his laptop is full of viruses! Reason because he has been surfing 18+ sites! (I am not sure what is with Chinese men and women, many of them like to sure sex sites!)

3. For every start there is an End and the end of Iranian footballers in WC was quite fast!
I think from this team we should keep a few youngersters and forget about many of these players and try to create a new team!
I suggest if we keep this Iranian team we shall change defense line with offensive line since all of our goals came from defense!

4. I am getting close to my conference time and I have not done much and feel pretty down! Must be my age! Few days ago was my birthday! But I think one of the nicest thingI got it was from head of our department, who came to congratulate me and handed me a bag for bicycle riding within there was small bottle of wine with two plastic wine glasses! Although, they do that for everyone, it was nice to see they care!

Analysis of Iranian team! After Iran vs Protugal game.

I saw the Iran and Portugal game. These are my understanding from the game! First I wish to post this.however, I watched Italy and USA game and then realized how different we are!

1. Ivankovich showed why Ivic was a better coach in 1998. In 1998 Iran was playing 90 min. football and a more of less a game plan. Ivic really changed the Iranian team in 1998. However, Branko showed that he has been affected by Iranian mentality, live for today, god is great for tomorrow! No Plan what so ever! Or if there was a plan it was only one plan and if the other team knew how we will play, since there was no other plan we were screwed!

2. Iranian, European based players showed that they are too tired to play for Iran! And I think they definitely make more money there than playing for team Melli. Excluding Mahdavi kia, Zandi who came in quite late because of injury. And showed that They have touch of Europian players!

2.1. I realized we have two type of players, tall who can head the ball! and short who can run a little with the ball! Many of Iranian players don't know how to pass the ball! or get the ball and run!

3. Mizapour is worst than 4 years ago and he must find another profession than goal keeping!! I am not sure how many of you saw the game of US and Italy, but did you see how Casey Keller was goal keeping and bossing the goal keeping area? Mirza still has problem talking to players and assigning them during the corner kicks! Nikonam was doing this!!! And many occasion there were no one at post one!

4. Iran had no plan, just sporadic attack with Kia crossing the ball and may be Hashemian get it to head it in! This reminded me of the system we used to play in streets, I know you, you are my friend, so pass the ball on my legs or head and I score!!

5. Khatibi needs a lot more to learn! This is not first liga of Iran!

6. The defense except some smart move by Kabi and Nosrati it was not much to show! Rezai showed that he has not learn anything in Italy. All he knows is mentality of losing to big teams idea! (He once said that in his interview, that in Italy small teams always lose to big teams!)

7. This team was not prepared to run under pressure for 90 mins. Now that is why they say German team is tournament’s team. As time passes they get better and better!

8. People who saw US and Italy, realized how plans were calculated for every possible setback. US had two read carded and then every time with a new substitution they were using all the spaces behind the Italian defense! I think they deserved to win, today!

9. The team which their players run not enough, seems to have less player than the opponent team. We were 11 players and 3 attacking players, but since they were not running it seemed that there was only one! However, with US and Italy game, after they lost two player to red card, it still seemed that they were 10 against the 10 players!

10. As long as this government is around with poor management, winning here and there will not do any good to anyone. This government is not good to show what the happiness is. A team without happiness and relaxed mind can not play a good game!

11. We still don’t know what our national anthem is! We don’t know what flag we are cheering for! What national color our jersey must have! What are we cheering for!

12. How come there were no Iranians in the stadium audience?? Anyone remembers the Iranian Football Federation during Mr. Safahi farahani? During that year many people were able to get tickets and go watch the games! However, in Dakan mafia Football federation, the tickets they got from FIFA I suppose they sold to others or give away to those who are high authority(i.e. az ma behtaroon)! Or may be trading for a higher price in the market so many of the audiences from opponent team could attend!!!

13. Once again the most needed element in Iranian team is self confidence and reliability and dependency with one another! Thanks to this regime we learn how to avoid those!

14. This World cup as many other things in Iran will be completely get forgetten! and 4 years from now we will do the same thing! As usual! (hoping I am wrong!)

14.1. I heard the game was reported by Adel Ferdosi pour! to my knowledg whenever he reports any important game of Iran, we lose big time! (I kinda don't like him to report! I prefere Kheybani!! (this is personal thing!)

Something we all should learn from!

About a year ago I wrote an article about the fact that in Iranian government we hardly see any retirement. Mr. Janati at I think around 80 years of age is head of Council of Guardians. or Mr. Rafsanjani at 70 something head of Council of Experts!
having said that, Mr. Bill Gates as a head of the Microsoft will steps down in an gradual process of two years!

I think people like Ali Daei must also learn that, too!
I think this is interesting news and needs quite a major debate!

See his Video annoucment!

some comments!

1. Women are fighting for women and they are getting beaten by women, who are fighting for their rights! I wonder about that!

2. Pierre Littbarski (i.e. the famous midfield player of German National team in 1980) was in ZDF commentary and he said: "I should apologize for saying this, but I think the Iranian Hero Ali Daei had mistaken the Nuernberg Stadium with Nuernberg public park!".

3. It is important to remember when a team loses, it is not fault of one person, it is the entire team. Same as when it wins, it is written for the entire team!

4. I ...., never mind:), I should get some sleep!

A song which I feel is nice to be heared:

This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be fed, this world could be fun
This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be free, this world could be one

In this world of cool deception
Just your smile can smooth my ride
These troubled days of cruel rejection
You come to me, soothe my troubled mind

This should be love for everyone (yeah)
This world should be free, this world could be one
We should bring love to our daughters and sons
Love,love,love,love
This could be heaven for everyone
You know that

This could be heaven for everyone

what people do to other souls
They take their lives, destroy their goals
Their basic pride and dignity
Is stripped and torn and shown no pity
When this should be heaven for everyone

The new Iranian women police!

1. 2 days ago there was a gathering in 7 Tir Square for protesting for women's right and their rights to become equal to men in Iran. have a look at the photos. It is so sad that this regime now using women to beat women!!
and this is the regime claiming: in a very independent movement many people show up to protest against caricature or many other thing! They can't tolerate simple non-violence protest!...
anyhow,

2. No sure anyone know Gary Moore! one of the songs I quite like is called Still got the blues, these are the lyrics:

Use to be so easy
To give my heart away
But I found that the haeartache
was the price you have to pay
I found that that love is no friend of mine
I should have know'n time after time

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

Use to be so easy
Fall in love again
But I found that the heartache
It's a roll that leeds to pain
I found that love is more than just a game
Play and to win
but you loose just the same

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

So many years since I seal you face
You will my heart
there's an emty space
Used to be

So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you

Golden days come and go
There is one thing I know
I've still got the blues for you

Prediction of Iran-Mexico game in WC football!

After game analysis!

It was heart breaking to see that Iran played so well in the first half does such a bad job in the second.

0.00. Branko was completely immeresed inthe game! had forgotten that he is coach!
even Mr. Shahrokho!

0.0 May the force be with Andranik Teymourian! He was probably one of our god players on the pitch, today!

0. Our height average was 180 vs 170 of Mexicans! how the hell they could head the ball to our goal! so, that tells me the positioning of our defenders were not right!

1.1. We have self confidence problem, big time!! This will not get any better if we don't let the young people in Iran freely and easily travel to Europe and US, realizing these poeple are the same as they are! They only have better managers!

1. My understing was they were told to take it easy and go on counter attacts. This is toxicated for Iranian team IMO.

2. Daei performance wasn't near as good as it supposed to be. I am not sure why Branko did not do any changes!

3. Hashemian is not Kia who can play in left and right and create oppotunity. He is central attacker and not a left winger! I trully was wondering why Branko did not change anything in the second half!!

4. When Kia is so slow and is not supported and then you have Kazemian on the bench, why not subbing!?!?

5. Madanchi must have come in earlier!

6. Mirza is so slow in one to one reactions, he is just a tall dude. As Elham said Chobe khoshk!!

7. Probelm with the Capitan Daie: he must have been at least talking to the youngesters not to shot the ball aimlessly!

8. Miza was making everyone nervous I wish to remind everyone how Abedzadeh was talking to players and leading thme to calm down!

9. It was heart breaking, but I hope Branko realizes that we need people who can play in left. not Hashemian! Hashemian is smart guy, in the center attacking!

10. playing passive for 45 min.? we should have conceived a goal(s) earlier! someone should have told them! no doubt!
...............
This morning was this post!

The predection is quite difficult, however I would hope for a win of Iran!
I was looking at Iranian players height and on average our players on 180 cm or more.
Daei 192, Anderanik 180, Hashemian 182, Kia 176, nekonam 180, Karimi 178, Mirza 192, Madanchi 180, ...
I think the shortest person is Kabai with 167.
on the other hand, Mexicans are about 170. So, we are about 10 cm taller!
so, with this tall team more or less I propose this strategy that we carry the ball by head from our goal to the Mexican goal and score!! we will win:D Doo roo doo doo, Iran:)
....
The following has taken from Molla Hassani weblog . Asfar as I know his weblog is blocked in Iran. So, I put it up for people to read it. It is quite funny!
